At the end of the month, I will be traveling to Norfolk, VA to take part in the kick-off meeting for the 2012 Professional Development Training Program (PDTC) for the US Navy Chaplain Corps. This is a remarkable privilege and I look forward to meeting one of my colleagues, Richard Westphal, along with Chaplain Tubley, and Admirals Tidd and Kibben. This is the beginning of a very exciting journey. We will be formulating a three-day program that addresses some of the challenges that sea service chaplains face in their daily mission of providing pastoral care to the men and women who preserve and protect our nation.
